Is there there a gain other than space, speed, etc gained from going from a 17' to an 18'? Right now I have a 1982 Lund which is 14' and skinny. My local waters aren't much for musky fishing so for much of the use I'd be using it for multi-species fishing, i.e. panfish, bass, walleye. Local lakes aren't all that big either, but I want the flexibility to take it out on say Mille Lacs and/or Leech. What am I gaining from a 18' v. 17' on the bigger waters?
Right now I lean towards the 17' models as 95% of my fishing is done on smaller waters.
Thanks.
