I have a 2001 1600 fishhawk with a 2 stroke 50 horse and I wouldn't want to go with any less of a motor that that...it'll do 25 to 30 top end depending on the load....but I quess it depends on how big of water you generall fish on. I have a 65 pound trolling motor and I'd say that its more than enough on most days...a 55 would probably be sufficient but on windy days the more the merrier. As was mentioned earlier if you do a lot of casting I'd consider the crestliner for the front deck and the beam width.
