I have a 2005 Fish Hawk 1750.

Trolling motor sounds fine for a 16 footer, but the boat is somewhat underpowered with the 40HP if you will be fishing any of the bigger lakes. That extra HP means a lot when the weather kicks up quick and you need to make a dash to the boat dock.

What year is the boat of which you speak?
Do you have any idea of how many hours have been put on the engine?

These are questions I would have before making more informed decision.

I am satisfied with the ride on my Crestliner. A safe boat when the water gets rough.

Craig
