Personally, I think the biggest thing about the new Terrova is it's got a new deploy/stow feature and a redesigned footpad seeing they have had so many issues with the old ones. But they did redesign the footpad on the V2 so hopefully it will be better also. That and it's the newest and greatest thing on the market right now as far as trolling motors. I have used both motors with 70lbs and 80lbs thrust models on similar boats. I personally have not seen a big difference to where I needed to spend a couple hundred dollars more for a different motor.

Now for your rigging. I know on the Alaskan the trolling motor plug-in is an optional feature, do you have one at your bow? Cause if not, that will be your first thing you will have to install.
