I am about to do the exact same thing. I am planning to move the stock Ranger/CSI charnger down a couple inches and install the single bank charger on top of or above it in the same location. Will probably connect the two pig tails with a two-way adapter so I can continue to carry only one extension cord with me. Depending on how your boat was originally setup, you may need to pull a third wire through the transom to connect your three batteries to get 36v. I got lucky and don't have to do that, just add two jumpers to one of the batts.
