The reason there are 4 wires running to the front, is because the jumpering is done at the TM plug for 24 volts. Most likely. If you want to run 12 volts, look at the connection to the plug and receptacle, and make sure they are connected to have the batteys in parrallel.

If the wires are 8 guage, you will be alright, as you are running two sets to the receptacle.

And as mentioned, do not wire the batterys in series. You could damage your bowmount.
