What it the best way to hook up an onboard charger. I have a two bank charger, and a 24 volt system + starting battery.

I'm not worried about the starting battery, but I would like to know what to do with my 24 volt system.

Do I hook one lead to each of the batteries in the 24 volt system, or do I only need one lead for both batteries?

Thanks for your help,
Scott

Also, do you put a piece of wood behind the charger, if you can only install it over carpet.
