Looking for advise. I have a 1991 14 ft aluminum boat that is in need of some maintenance. The carpet on the back bench seat, livewell, and console needs replacement. Also, the decking needs to be replaced as well. I'm having a hard time finding 1/2 inch marine grade plywood (that's what's on it now) and am wondering if anyone has a suggestion on where to get this. While at Menards earlier this week they said 3/4 inch marine grade is all they have access to. I'm hoping to stay with 1/2 from a weight standpt. Menards did have 7/16inch plastic in 4'x8' sheets. This would likely never wear out, but does anyone have thoughts on using it? Is it rigid enough to stand on? Will screws hold without stripping out. (That's a problem with my livewell cover now.) Can anyone suggest the type of carpet I should use?

I'd really appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,
