I just purchased a Lund 1675 Explorer SS and am looking to extend the rear casting deck. The casting deck is now only 17" wide and I figure if I make it another 17" wider for a total of 34" I would be in good shape. If I make a deck 17" I can put shortened pedestals in the bases on the floor and they would line up exactly in the center of the deck.

To me this seems like it would work but how should I support the deck against the sides and existing deck so that when I remove the extra casting deck that everything looks good and nothing is in the way.

Comments and/or pictures of your casting deck modifications appreciated!

Thanks,
