Subject: RE: Smokercraft boats

Everyone I know that owns a Smoker Craft is pleased as punch with them. Everyone says any warrany work was done immediately. The only bad thing I have heard is the Oregon Factory was taking used boats returned to them for defects, shining them up, changing the Hull ID Number, and reselling them as new boats.
They signed a contract with the Oregon Attorney Generals office to stop the practice and to make a settlement offer with people who bought used boats sold as new.
I tried to buy a new Alaska model, but the price went up $180 between the time I looked at it and went back to buy it. Not new inventory, same boat I looked at and received a price on earlier, may be a dealer problem, not manufacturer.
