You can still steer from the console my way. There is an adjustment on the tiller versions of the ProKicker to prevent the motor from turning when you let go of it. It's called a copilot, believe it or not.

The Trollmaster is one of the best additions to my trolling equipment. Very precise throttle control. Precision you cannot get with the remote controls.
