Have the best of both worlds. Get the tiller version. Merc Prokicker, or the Yamaha T8, if you prefer. Both have power tilt. Avoid the $600 Panther lift. Then add a Trollmaster Pro, and the Golden Eye steering rod kit.

With this setup, you can use the kicker as a tiller for tight contour trolling, or steer from the console, and control your speed as well.

I don't like the factory remotes for speed control. Not adjustable enough for me.
