I like mine a lot, it has none of the looseness and slop that I had with some older maxxums. The lift assist is no big deal and I could have done without it but overall it's a great motor. Much stronger than the 74lb. Minn- kota reccomends you get 60 amp circuit breaker for this motor. They are relatively inexpensive.
