Location: north central wisconsin | I am a tiller guy and prefer it in all water including big(we typically fish Green Bay, petenwell, V, and LOTW for the most part). I fish more than I run, so I need all the room when fishing, which a console takes away from me. I love the floor space in the tiller I have now, and couldn't afford to go to a longer boat with a console, giving up space. My dad just got a big alumacraft one side console and it is ok, but I don't think I'd be able to make the switch. I also prefer the tiller for trolling as the turns are made quicker and more precise, same for dangerous rocky waters. Now, I don't like that not many tiller glass boats do not come with a decent rear deck, but they(Tuffy especially) seem to be coming along for us tiller lovers.
That said, with the new kid, I might enjoy a console boat when dragging tubes around the lake which I am sure i'll need to do. I'll borrow dads..hehe. |
