If the front cap was smaller as you suggest, there would be no place to properly bolt on a trolling motor; right or left side. Yes, the 1890 is going to be offered as a GT and CG, call Quams Motor Sports for a quote. I'm lost as to how the bow cap keeps you further 'off the water' could you clarify? You can literally touch the water with a 6' rod tip from the front deck without bending a bit.
