If you are not going to be networking units together I would suggest looking at Eagle's Fish Elite 500C. Larger screen color unit. Excellent features. Made by Lowrance, only major difference is the networking availability. Local Scheel's store has color units GPS ready for $699.

There will be one on my Ranger next season, updating my X15.

If you don't need color, Cabela's is offering some very steep discounts on Lowrance X17's and the older 15's.

I prefer the larger screen models for when I'm running the split screen option.
