that's basically what Tuffy did with their splash-well.
if you look at the picture from above, you'll see the splash-well area is black. this is a non-skid coating that allows you to fish from it without slipping...it IS an extension of the back deck and it works great. the well is very slightly angled toward the center so water drains out by the motor, but it's not enough to notice when you're standing on it.
in the 1760 this space is fishable, especially when combined with the livewell/deck area just in front of it. in fact, i find myself preferring to fish back there as being on a "corner" of the boat gets me even closer to the water than from up on the front deck. and in this boat, that's saying something. on the 1890 this splash-well/deck area is huge.

"capless" means there is no fiberglass cap/gunnel on top of the sides of the boat, it's a new option by Tuffy. it widens the interior space by about 6-8" depending on what part of the boat, and it gets you about 4" closer to the water - very nice for deep figure-8s and releasing fish. those shiny caps look cool, but i really like how open the boat is without it.
