Location: Stevens Point, WI | The advantages for the LowranceNet really in my opinion is for more of the walleye guys, or guys who spend tremdous amounts of time on the water doing such things as tournaments and guiding. Those guys are the ones that truely find this to be beneficial. The LowranceNet offers multiple gauges, sonar, and GPS, all networked for sharing date via "a backbone unit" which in your case would probably be your X-25. If you were to set this feature up, you could read your fuel flow, fluid levels, speed, water temp and also a trim tab feature that is available from Bennett Marine. This data travels through the network or your "backbone unit" to every readout device you have installed within the network for display. I know a lot of guys that tournament fish and guide that use this system, but for the weekend angler its probably more than what you truely need but from getting to use it, it is an interesting system if set up right. I know guys that have had lots of trouble trying to set this system up because if it's not done a certain way the whole system will not function right until everything is connected right. The cons of this system I really couldn't tell you, seeing that I have not gotten to use it that much but from what I saw it was very cool!
