Location: Eau Claire, WI | Thanks for the compliment, everyone that see's it thinks it's factory. It rides more smooth than my 690 did and fishes like a dream. Even in big water it's a smooth/dry ride if you drive it responsibly.
My previous rig was a 1996 690, I loved it. Once fuel prices hit $3 a gallon though I was going broke feeding the 175EFI that was on it. Wanted something more fuel efficient. I love that style interior layout but the factory version of the 618 wasn't going to cut it, so I spent some time looking at them and decided I could modify one to what I wanted, basically a modern day 690. The 618 looks small when you look at them, but put a tape measure to them and they are extremely close to the 690. Measure the carpeted "useable" space.
Musky fisherman have some really nice choices in fiberglass these days with the newer lineup from Tuffy and Ranger's new Angler series to compliment the rest of what they offer makes for a nice variety to choose from. |
