My buddy kept his boat at a unused Cottage in Eagle River area for the Fall one year and use a large braided cable(probably 5/8in.) with a big Master Lock that he threaded this thru the rim of his trailer wheel and the frame of the trailer and kept the lock under the boat to protect it from the weather. He used a 4/5 foot cable so it was very noticeable.
