My panfishing buddy runs a suzuki 60 hp 2 stroke and loves it. Very quiet, very smooth. He is one of those big motor guys. Never uses his trolling motor, just starts up the susy and moves 50 feet, then shuts her down. I tend to think that is hard on an outboard, but he has no problems. Puts 6-10 hrs on it per week. no problems yet. He bought a brand new lund alaskan 1800ss with a 60 merc 2 stroke and ended up trading the brand new 60 merc in for the suzuki after only 6 months. He liked the way it ran much better, idle speeds, noise, etc.

Just thoughts
I run a merc
