I just looked at a 1700 tiller and its only rated for a 60 while the console is rated for a 135. thats a huge differance. I've checked out the rating on similar tin boats and there is not nearly as wide a gap in the 2 ratings. I think 60 is way under powered consideing the size of the 1700. It is a great looking boat but I just can't imagine it being anything but a dog with a 60 on it. Rate it for a 75 and it would be perfect.
