| brian,
first of all, as others have stated, THANKS for serving!!!!
good choice on the tuffy. i own a lund 2025 pro-v w/225 opti, but 2 of my close friends own tuffy's. one has a 2004 1990 esox deep-v w/200hp hpdi. the other has the new 2060 tiller w/f150 yamaha. i live on lake mille lacs and have fished in both boats alot, in all different kinds of weather. before i bought my lund, i looked at pete maina's last tuffy before he switched to tracker. i talked to the production manager at tuffy and he gave me some good insite on that boat. he also offered to fix up a few dings in the jell coat if i could drop the boat off for a week. the only reason that i went with the lund is, my wife liked the wider gunwales on the lund. i really like the lund, it is the second one that i owned, but for the money the tuffy was the deal of the centry. tuffy's are designed as a fishing boat first and the layout is very fishing friendly. i am not a fan of center rod storage, all manufacturers have went to that design, that is the deepest part of the boat and i think that a large, deep dry storage area is better than the center rod storage. the 2004 1990 esox deep-v has real good dry storage. i can't understand why they changed except to keep up with the jones'. if i could only change 1 thing on my lund, that would be it, return the center rod storage to dry storage. IMHO i think you made a good choice in going with a tuffy, as far a getting a kicker, i wouldn't order the boat without one......................tom fellegy | |
