Location: London, England		I've coated the plywood casting deck I made for my boat with epoxy resin after it was glued and screwed together. Hopefully that will keep the water out. Bracing it with aluminium channel sounds like a good idea too if the span is too long for 1" of plywood not to sag with someone standing on it.
