Look at the livewell size(52" in the 1700), front deck size (big enough for two easily), rod locker size (8' in the 1700 Esox Deep V on top row, and 14 rods possible in a center load single piece locker) seperate liners for dry storage instead of using the hull as a storage liner port. starboard, and bottom like some boats do, a splashwell a 300# person can jump up and down on and fish from, completely filled interior strakes, single piece molded interior, gasketed full length livewell door, etc.

At the end of the day once all the information is clear and available for the boats you are considering, buy whatever you think is the right boat for you!
