Whatever boat policy you buy, make sure that theft of "attached items" and of your fishing tackle is covered. Many boat policies ONLY cover these items if the entire boat is stolen. Also make sure that there is no restriction on fishing tournaments. Some insurance carriers view that as "business pursuit".
