| I don't think the Verado would be a good match for this boat at all. The 619 has a 22.5" transom not a 25 and the Verado is like 150-180 pounds more than a DFI 2s. I got my 2005 619 for several thousand less by shopping around. Some dealers get much more reasonable after the next model year comes out. I saw my local dealer at the Musky show asking 44,500 for a 619 w/a 200 E-Tec no electronics, nothing else. I got mine for 34,000 w/ big screen color Lowrance front and rear, extra seat, cover, and the lighting package. Plus he gave me $4,000 more for my trade than Bedford would. I got mine in Northern Mn.
As far as the original post goes I still don't think a large 4-stroke will replace a kicker. Running any big motor @ low rpm has several negative effects other than carbon fouling. Sure, many pros will tell you you can troll all day long but if you are like me your boat ownership experience lasts more than a few months and many of the things they do to thier rigs are very damaging.
