Well I tuned up my skeg on a rock/stump today and busted about 2 inches off of it. When it broke it took a sliver off all the way up on the prop side also. I was wondering how somebody goes about fixing something like this? Does the whole bottom need to be replaced or can it be welded and blended? I am in Central WI and wanted to know if anybody would recomend somebody for this type of work.

The scary thing is I have run throught the same spot many time before and The locator was reding 10ft. This body of water is known for rock outcrops though. I will be back to check out the spot once my nerves have settled a bit.
