Shep, my mechanic thinks the axles may be bent slightly and recommended getting them straightened as part of the tire change. We discussed that many boat trailers are not made for the weight of the boat they carry and should be beefed up. Not sure that I'd go thru all that, but getting the axles done will be part of the job, now. thanks. He also said that if I go with slimmer tires, the vehicle could get a bit squirrelly, especially on rutted roads.

I have no idea about tire construction, I do know I should be getting trailer tires instead of car tires. m
