Buy a buffing wheel or a buffer that's designed for waxing and buffing, usually about $50. Buy the bonnets you will need, I'd say about a dozen. Get three cans of polishing compound, NOT rubbing compound, and start at the front. Apply the compound to the slightly moistened bonnet, and move the wheel the same direction back and forth taking care not to 'sit' on a spot too long. The original finish probably won't be possible, but a good polishing works wonders. Then, buy some 'fiberglass restore' wax at the auto store and repeat, using that wax. After that, rub her down after every trip with a rag and some spray wax, there's lots of those now. |
