i had the same thing happen recently only to go back to u-haul that put my wiring on and hitch on 1 yr ago and pay $90. however when i got home and tested it again , it still did the same thing so i replace both bulb capsules on my trailer only to find out that the bulb that looked ok , the filament hadnt all the way broke, was the culprit. just a light capsule for $10. oh well, live and learn i now have an additional 90 day u-haul warranty.
