Steve, the prop hasn't been beat up forever. Even when it was brand new I didn't get great performance from it. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

The boat handles big water VERY well! But it is on the slow/doggy side and I wish it was a little quicker. I understand the coast guard rating issue; my only point is that a 75hp on a 1700 would make for a heck of a rig! Coast guard rating aside, you couldn't tell me with a straight face that the 1700 wouldn't handle a 75. That coast guard rating is ridiculous.

I believe the RPMs are in the 6500 range, and yes it is a 2 stroke. 2000 model year. 12P vengence seems like a good idea to me. Thanks for the suggestion.
