Check this out.http://www.alumacraft.com/specs/tournpro175cs.html 17.5 ' I thought I saw some Alumacrafts with center rod storage at a sports show this winter too.

OR get some rod savers and strap your longer rods on the side benchs. I've got a 165 CS and that is what I do. I have to put the rods in the vehicle along with the lakewood if I'm afraid of theft . That is the only inconvenience.
