Greetings,

My dad is looking for a new boat as we speak and is running into some issues with rod storage. He is looking for a v type hull, single console in the 16.5-17' range with rod storage that will store up to 7'6" rods. I will fish with him on occasion, so 8' storage would be a plus. He is having a bit of trouble finding something like this. He likes the style of the Alumacraft Navigator, but the 1750 only has a 7' storage, which is useless to him. He also likes the Fish hawks, but has to jump to the 1850(which he won't do) to get the proper storage. The Alumacraft Tournament series is ok, but he does not like the wide gunwhales associated with it. I know it may seem as though he is picky, but are we missing anyone? Is there something out there suitable? He was going to check Tuffy tommorrow, but I did not see where they had sufficient sotrage in their 16-17's either... If anyone knows of something in the Navigator style(lots of fishing room) with adequate rod storage(at least 7'6") please reply here or drop me an email. I have been out of the boat shopping loop for some time, and am just starting to help him. This should help, as I begin my search next season.

Thanks in advance,

Jason
