Guys, I am picking up my first fiberglass boat tommarow before this all I ever owned was aluminum. The boat is only 1 year old and in perfect shape but it does not have a keel protector on it. Would you recomend getting one installed and what purpose to they serve? I realize that they protect the keel incase you beach the boat but are they really neccessary?
