Kent-
It's kind of the same as the differences between Chevrolet and Cadillac.
They both work and will do what you need.
It's just more power/bells/whistles on the more expensive ones.
As far as power goes, you can never have enough, even if you are not fishing deeper waters. I think it also helps with target differentiation too.
