Ranger with regards to the commercials e-tec compares its 2-stroke self to 4-strokes. What are they thinking of course a 2-stroke will have some better performance values compared to 4-stroke. But keep in mind that Evinrude (bombardier) has some making up to do after the failure of the ficht the buy out of johnson/evinrude it was time for a clean slate. The etec was a long time coming. Those that own them love them. Time will tell on this like everything else. If Evinrude wants to compare its etec to something put it up against the mercury 250XS optimax. pound for pound.
