| I have a 90HP Honda on a 1750 Fishawk. I can troll down to about 2mph without any problems. One year running the Honda and so far (crossing my fingers) nothing bad to report. Great gas mileage and not a lot of noise, I would highly recommend the 4 stroke (Honda, Yammi or other).
As for Maxing on the HP, the Max for me would be 115. I didn't max because I spent all I could with the 90 but no regrets. I have heard that if you don't max the HP stay at least above 80% in order to get on plain quickly etc. Don't know how true that is, just what I have heard.
