Subject: trolling with big motor


I just purchased a tuffy esox 1700c with a 90 optimax, can I troll with this motor or will it load up on me? The salesman said that it should be fine trolling for muskies, what do you all think? And, if I do decide to get a kicker to go on the boat, would a 6hp be enough? Mercury is selling the 6hp for the price of the 4 right now and I am already pushing my budget, plus I would like to keep the overall weight of the boat down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
