Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | A used boat from a private party may seem to be a great deal only to turn sour if something goes wrong. Look for a great deal from a reputable dealer. You may pay a little more but ask them if they stand behind their boatsl. Some do, some don't, no private party does. A trully great deal can be found privatly, that is where I bought my 519 Commanche. However I knew the person and how the boat was cared for. A used boat can be had for less $$$ than new but can also be a money pit. Follow the checklist as stated earlier and you should be fine. Just be careful, in that boats and motors can be expensive to repair. If buying at a dealer ask about extended warranty, might be something to think about. |
