on my old boat i had two that create interference when in water deep enough for them to hit each other.
but when running the boat from the front, i tended to be only using the front depth finder.
so i turned my one in the back off.

on my new boat i'm planning to start running the boat from the back and using the better electronics from back there most all of the time.

if you really want two on at the same time that don't conflict, look into the frequency issues Al highlighted.
