Norm, here's what I have resorted to to solve the issue.

I.e. I wanted to be able to punch in a weighpoint while sitting at my console and then be alble to navigate/fish to it up front while running the trolling motor.

I purchased a Lowrance I-Finder H2O.. put a Ram mount at my consol and one up front next to my bow sonar unit. When needed I just unplug the power cord from the power-outlet and move the unit up front with me.

It sounds like a pain in the butt, but it really isn't, so far it has worked very well for me. I have trails marked on outside weed lines and rock reefs and can run right along them now.

Like you...the networking would be sweet, but I also suspect once it becomes available it will be darn pricey for the first few years so for now I'll use what I have.

The other thing you could do is call Lowrance direct on the 800 customer service number listed on their website and ask if there are any other options.

Makes me wonder what the Great Lakes and Ocean folks do who have several units at each of the helms on boats with fly-bridges, etc?
