Something to think about. I had an on board charger go bad once and it fried both batteries. I didn't get a recall notice on the charger for two years. Seems they started some fires. So I no longer leave my charger plugged in all the time. If you leave the batteries in the boat plug them in for a few hours maybe once / month. I personally yank them and put them on a board in the basement, it's pretty cool down there, and I hook them up to a slow charger once every month or so during the winter. This also forces me to go through and clean all the connections in the spring prior to putting them back in the boat. Works for me.
