I haven't heard to many good things about them. I know when they are not acting up they are pretty solid, but when they do act up watch out! To me it just seems that there is to many things to go wrong with it, if it were me give it awhile and let MotorGuide work out any problems they are getting and then look at purchasing one if they are that appealing. The Minn Kota Maxxum is still in my opinion the standard in trolling moters. Its hard to beat a proven winner like the Maxxum! Just my thought.
