Subject: Deep V Jon Boat

Wondering if anyone has had any experience with deep V jon boats. These boats have a 15 degree V all the way back to the transom instead of the usual flat bottom or 3 degree v flat bottom.

Local dealer sells "Sea Ark" boats, formerly Monarch, and they have a 18 and a 20 foot deep V jon boat. They are 72" wide on the bottom and the beam at the gunnels is 94". They look very stable, and the price is right. Local dealer can also add rod boxes, storage areas, etc. In short, they can be "dressed up."

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
