Subject: Trailer lights

Location: Des Moines IA
I am having problems with my trailer lights. L turn doesn't work at all on trailer. R turn, both lights flash on trailer, only R flashes on truck. With the running lights on, the brake lights are constantly on , on the trailer. I figured it's a ground issue on the trailer, so I reconnected the ground. Nothing changed. So I unhooked the ground completely from the trailer. Still nothing changed. Lights worked the same as when the ground was hooked up. So now I think it's the trucks ground. How do I check the ground on the truck to see if it is working. 2003 Dodge Ram. Thanks in advance.
