Tuffy Esox Magnum, with a rear casting deck is a great choice. I regularily have 2 other people and tackle boxes in the boat with me. There has never been a problem with that load, and on water sizes that you are speaking about with heavy seas. I have had mine out in 4' waves. You have got to pay attention to waves of that size or larger no matter what kind of boat that you have. I have had mine since 1992, and the narrower Tuffy Esox before that for 6 years.
