Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | If the deck was factory installed, it should carry the motor. If it's a custom job, I'd make sure it's rock solid. If necessary use a rivet gun to attach it if that would work. Then drill using the motor's pattern or base, and bolt her on. Make sure the foot of the motor will clear the boat as it deploys, and has the clearance to steer and retract, too. Angle to motor so it's going to be comfortable for you to use both deployed and retracted.
