Have a lot of experience with a Pinpoint (which died) and a PTSv. They are basically the same, though I haven't used the depth track feature enough on the new PTSv to honestly compare accuracy. I think whether or not a PTSv is worth it depends entirely on the lake you fish. On Lake of the Woods, I never use the tracking features. On many other lakes I'd probably have trouble without it, especially lakes that are new to me.
