I would see if the bunks are adjustable. Before you take the boat in for the gelcoat, buy new bunks if the old ones are warped, or...replace the carpeting. Then, adjust the bunks if possible so that they are flush with the hull. Then, all should be set.

It sure would not hurt to check with your dealer on the issue. If it can be determined that the trailer was improperly set up for the boat, they would be liable for the repairs.
